Bryan Smith on Guitar and Vocals

This Triad music veteran has performed Blues in and around North Carolina since the Mid 80's. His previous band "Blues World Order" logged in 15 years of festivals and club dates throughout the state. In the mid 90's he joined Johnnie Whitlocks' Amazing Blues Caucus where he first met and played with Sax player Steve Blake. Bryan is handling the vocal duties with this new project and surrounding himself with some of the top musicians in the area.

Steve is one of the founding members of the the Triad's hottest Latin Band, "West End Mambo" A graduate of Berklee College of Music, his tool box includes many instruments and styles. Back in the 90's, Steve and Bryan played together in Johnnie Whitocks'  Amazing Blues Caucus Band. These two have shared the stage many times over the past 20 years and as a "JumpStarter" this is sure to be a treat.

Doug Dennis on Bass and Backing Vocals.

Doug's music career needs its own chapter in The Music History of Greensboro. He is the original Bass player in "Brice Street", which is still gigging in the area. He has been in many music projects over the years including the current "Wonder Wall". The "JumpStarters" are excited to add his touch to the music. 

Roy Brown on Drums

Another Greensboro music veteran and graduate of UNCG's School of Music. Roy has anchored many bands and projects over the years. Roy founded "Dr. Brown's Code Blue Revue" where Steve Blake joined them on Sax. Roy and Doug played together in Shaggie Maggie for a number of years.

All these guys have interconnections and common threads. Smitty and the JumpStarters mix these talents into a Dancing Blues Band.
